Meet the Staff

Eunice Donnelly - Director

Eunice is originally from Gaston County, NC where she found her passion for recreation!  Growing up with 3 younger siblings, the local recreation center was their favorite spot.  Whether it was learning how to play soccer, swimming over the summers, or watching her brothers tackle each other on the football field, she loved it.  At the age of 15, she accepted her first position at her local recreation center as a summer lifeguard.  During high school, she worked many roles within the recreation center; from lifeguard, swim instructor, basketball/soccer referee, scorekeeper to gym supervisor, and much more.  After graduating from high school, she continued her journey to Appalachian State University.  She received a bachelor's degree in Recreation Management with a focus in Parks and Recreation and a minor in Media Studies.  During her time at Appalachian State, she had the opportunity to live in Australia for 6 months, studying Recreation Management.  While visiting the great barrier reef, she held her first koala and ate tons of vegemite.  Eunice was honored to be chosen as the Undergraduate Commencement speaker.  She joyfully spoke about her passion for recreation and love for the outdoors!  Upon graduation, Eunice accepted a position at Cramerton Parks and Recreation Department, serving as their first Events and Program Supervisor.  In 2020, she came to Stallings Parks and Recreation Department as the Events Coordinator.  After planning and executing events for SPRD, she was promoted to Director - a dream come true!  Eunice strives to continue to expand Stallings Parks and make the town the BEST it can be!
