Eunice McSwain has been hired as the Town of Stallings Parks and Recreation Director. McSwain, formerly the Event Coordinator for the Town, has been promoted to lead the department. Already seasoned in the Stallings Farmer’s Market and Stallings Fest, McSwain’s new role is effective immediately.
“Anyone who has spent more than two minutes with Eunice understands the passion she brings to parks and recreation. However, what I’ve come to truly appreciate during the selection process has been her strong vision/high standards for the future of the Parks and Recreation Department, her work ethic, integrity, and leadership abilities,” said Stallings Town Manager Alex Sewell. “I’m excited for Eunice to work with the already great staff in place and lead the department into the future.”
In addition to the Town of Stallings, McSwain has worked in several parks and recreation positions throughout the state, including the Town of Cramerton and Appalachian State University. McSwain is a Certified Parks and Recreation Professional (CPRP) and was the Town of Stallings 2021 Employee of the Year. Her passion lies in community recreation and bringing communities together.
“What I love most about community recreation is that it gives a place where all are welcome and encouraged to come out and play,” said McSwain. “Being named Stallings Parks and Recreation Director is truly a dream come true. With the staff we have in place and the potential that we have here in Stallings, I know that the sky is the limit.”
